Hey! I just found your comment on my blog and thought it was awfully thoughtful and wanted to respond. Not sure if you'll see this comment because it looks like you're not too bloggy....
I wanted to answer your question about Warren's inauguration prayer, I confess I didn't listen to him too carefully. But, I think now I'll go back and do so! I do think that the things in our lives that are near and dear to us (for me poetry and politics) make us inclined to feel generous to other people who share those passions. Human nature, right?
